Getting a little jumpstart…

on my Mother's Day cards. I love to make all of my own and the ladies that I give them to appreciate them so much more than a store bought one. I grabbed some of the My Mind's Eye papers that I had and one of the pieces from a Mini Deco Album and went to work on this one. I started by outlining the Deco shape with some new paint pens that we have been given to try with our acrylic pieces. This particular color is a pearl paint and the shade is called Lilac, they are made by a company called Viva. I love this brand as it doesn't tend to chip off of the acrylic the way that Stickles do. The also make a glitter paint and one called glass effects that dries see through…all very cool.

Isn't it great how those little keychain shapes work so well as accent pieces on a card or a scrapbook page?!

Hope you all have a great rest of your weekend.

What a pretty card! Love the stitching and that little butterfly is super cute! Love how you used the keychain shape for a accent!
