Today I would like to share a little easy and fun tutorial with you all. Above is a sample that I've created using Clear Scraps acrylic ATC card. These acrylic cards are such great pieces to do experiment on and have some fun with mediums.
This technique is what I call the "artsy background with alcohol ink". It's actually very simple.
Steps:
1) Get a piece of acrylic ATC card and some bottles of alcohol inks. You might also need a bottle of blending solution.
2) Randomly, pour some drips of alcohol inks all over the acrylic ATC card. You can tilt your card with a tweezers to let the alcohol ink flow. This will create the artsy look.
3) To create some blending among the colours, drip some blending solution on it and tilt the acrylic ATC card again.
4) Let it dry. You will now have an artsy alcohol ink background to create on.
In my sample above, I've turned the ATC to it's non alcohol inked surface as the front. Then, I've stamped on it with some stamps and Staz On. I've later, add some cut out images, laces, stickers, flowers, crystals and Stickles on it. This is such a fun little experiment. You should try it!
