A little help in the kitchen…

When I received one of the new Clear Scraps Tri-folds I decided that I wanted to do something functional with it. After some time pondering I came up with a clever little idea…use it as a recipe holder. You know the kind that sit out on the counter and hold your recipe for you while you are cooking?

Starting with one of Echo Park's newest lines, For the Record, I trimmed out large rectangles to fit each of the three pieces. I then used a Papertrey Ink die to make the center label and to cut out the two spiral bound notebook pieces of paper.

Do any of you have a history of going a little overboard shopping from QVC years ago? I admit, I bought way TOO much scrapping booking items from them. One of those items was a glue called "Wacky Tack". I still haven't found much use for it, but it came in handy for this idea. It is a sponge tip bottle of glue that when you put it on it is wet and when it dries creates a post-it like adhesive, one that you can reposition over and over. For this project I put it on the main large rectangle bases so that you could change the recipes and the menu and shopping lists to match each recipe.

You can see from the photo above that I took the little cut out hearts from the corners and used those as my 'O's'.

Hope this gave all of you another idea on a different way to use the new Tri-folds.
