Sanded acrylic

The Clear Scraps acrylic 12×12 sheets are so versatile for cards.  You can color them with inks and markers and paints, and so on…or, you can leave them very simple and clear.  But somewhere in the middle of those 2 extremes, is one of my favourite 'happy mediums' – embossing and sanding.

For this wedding card, I cut my acrylic sheet to 4 1/4" x 11" and scored and folded it to make a card.  I ran the front side through my Big Shot with an embossing folder.  To finish it off I took a sanding block and gently rubbed it over the embossed front of the card, turning the raised areas slightly white and scratchy.

To finish off this card, I rounded the corners with my WRMK Corner Chomper (btw:  it even chomped through the double layer of acrylic at the folded edge of the card).   I painted a Clear Scraps acrylic bell from the Mini Bell Ornament with silver leafing pen and added dots of paint and tied it on with a big silver ribbon bow.  The SRM Press card sentiment stickers that are never far away finish off this card very quickly.

So…out you go now…out to the garage to find that sanding block.

Emboss and sand up some Clear Scraps Acrylic.

You'll love it – I know you will.

Thanks!

Cathy
