Bell Shaker Ornament with Leah Crowe

Happy day Clear Scraps friends!
ShakerBellsm_LeahCrowe

Today I am sharing one of the new Bell shakers with you from Clear Scraps new release!
So many amazing new things in this release.

With this Shaker comes 1 back chipboard shape, 3 chipboard shapes, and 1 acrylic divider

I knew right away I wanted to turn this shaker into an ornament, so I started out by punching out a hole at the top of the bell using my Crop O' Dile tool. I lined each bell up with the first hole punch and punched them separately to make sure they would line up nicely later for the ribbon.

I adhered pattern paper to the chipboard base, and then painted the chipboard shapes in a gold color.

Once the paint dried I adhered two of the bell shapes to the chipboard back using Beacons Zip Dry.

Here is where I wish I had thought ahead a little bit before I added my beads to the inside of the shaker.

I wish I had added my word JOY to the inside background on the chipboard back, so that when the bell was shaken, the word Joy would have been revealed. So my mistake is shared so if you wish to do a word or image reveal, add it BEFORE you add your shaker pieces and the acrylic divider. 🙂

You then add the acrylic divider. I used stazon ink around the outside edge a bit to add some more color.

and then lastly, you add the other chipboard shape, making sure it is all lined up nicely.

This is SO much fun to make. I must get many more shakers!! 🙂
