Hey there Clear Scraps friends! I am SO excited today!! It's Pinky again and anyone who knows me, knows me and my boys LOVE skulls and fun girly skull items. so when Clear Scraps came out with a Pirate Skull Stencil I was THRILLED and knew exactly what I wanted to make with it.
This fun and funky skull phone stand! Most of my friends have phone cases with pink and skulls, why not a phone stand too! I used modeling paste with the Clear Scraps 6" Pirate Skulls Stencil to stencil the front, then used black paint on the back for the eye patch areas, notice I added blue crystals to the other eye for a fun girly effect. Then I graduated Krylon Spray Paint on the back.
Can you see the glitter crossbones on the top? When everything was dry I used modeling paste to add that and glittered it for an added bonus, then added more crystals!
I mean it's pretty cute and perfect for that teen girl or skull loving mom like me.
I also used yellow and pink paint for the base, it's a lovely combo of pastels to offset the stenciling work I did.
I used the Clear Scraps Vintage Phone Stand as the core of the project, the cast acrylic really is fantastic to work with and lasts for a lifetime. There are very neat tablet stands too, just check out the links.
