April Is Autism Month- Autism Tag by Pinky

Well hey there friends, it is Pinky today and today I wanted to share my very special monthly tag for the month of April.

I chose to make a mixed media Autism Tag, and use the 6" Puzzle Stencil from Clear Scraps. They actually designed this stencil with some of the designers and Autism in mind so it is VERU special to my heart because my sone Gage has Severe Autism.

For this Autism Tag I took a Chipboard Tag from the Tag Album and Tag Box Set and I used 3 different colors of paint, I actually base painted it a soft green them sponged on purples and blues, and smeared it all and sponged on again. I wanted a really the die look in the background.

After that I took the 6" Puzzle Stencil from Clear Scraps and used embossing ink over the 6" Puzzle Stencil, removed the stencil and then embossing powder and a heat gun to create the blue puzzle background. I then took my wonderful Autism stamps from a friend's store A Creatibe Journey with Melissa and created the "My Son Has Autism, What's Your Superpower" quote by mixing and matching them.

I also used the tiny heart stamps to create the hearts and used a pearl pen to make them red and pop up.

I really put my love into all my projects but the Autism ones are extra special.
