Hello friends! It's Jennifer and I'm sharing a home decor project I created using the Family Border Mascil! These large Mascil measure 3×12 inches and are perfect for your layouts or projects! Clear Scraps offers 12 different words to choose from!
I first started with a 12×12 wooden craft plaque and painted that I painted white. Next, I cut my background pattern down to 11×11 to fit onto the front of box.
Before adding my photo and embellishments, I secured my Mascil with washi tape to the bottom third of my paper. Next, I applied a light coat of modeling paste to my page. I used modeling paste to add some dimension to my project, but you can use acrylic paint, gesso, or ink with the Mascils!
Here is the end result! I was then ready to start adding my photo and layering my papers and embellishments!
I used a circle punch with different patterns along with the ephemera from the collection and layered across the page. I used pop dots on random circles to add more dimension to my project!
Thank you for stopping by! Be sure to check out all of the Border Mascils in the Clear Scraps shop! Have a great day!
