Hello! School has started here in the US and I thought I would do a fun school themed tag for September!
Today I'm going to show you how I created my background!
Starting with one of the acrylic tags from the Acrylic Tag Album, I used Ranger Alcohol Ink in Watermelon to color the front. Be sure to remove the protective film from both sides of the acrylic before starting.
Once my alcohol ink was dry, I flipped over my tag to add my background using the 6 Inch Stars Mascil and gold metallic texture paste. I applied a thick coat of texture paste to ensure coverage; it even helps to use your index finger to smooth out any lines!
Here is the end result! I love how the gold contrasts with the red! Any areas that "hang over" the side can be lightly sanded off.
I then added patterned paper and embellishments as well as cute ribbon to finish! This would be cute as an accent on a teacher gift or on the front of a school album!
Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check the blog for more tag inspiration from the design team! Have a great day!
