Hey there Clear Scraps friends, it's Pinky today and I was sitting here thinking about non-traditional ways to use the cool NEW Wood Shaker Accordion Albums, and it hit me, why not a traveling chalkboard for kids to use or even adults! Fun kitchen lists etc.
So I took the Mason Jar Wood Accordion Shaker Album, and began by painting the front, and using the 5 x 9 Hearts/dots Layering Stencil on the acrylic to create the hearts. Also adding fun affirmation stickers inside.
Each page I painted 2 coats of chalkboard paint, I find the wood does nicely with 2 coats.
I added gold paint to each top to create the Mason Jar lid, I love how it looks and it's so useful! Would be fun in the kitchen on the counter as well! The yarn pom poms were just for fun. Great family project even, especially if you have a budding painted or a variety of chalkboard paint colors!
