Halloween Window Wood Accordion Shaker Album

Hello friends! Jennifer on the blog today to share one of the Wood Accordion Shaker Albums! If you have not created with these fun albums, you must do so!  For my project, I  used the Window Wood Accordion Shaker Album and turned it into a mini album documenting some favorite trick or treat photos from a few years ago!

I  used a metallic black paint on the front frame of the shaker and it almost has a bit of a distressed look!  I  wanted the front of have the feel of a haunted house window of sorts.  I  added different size of sequins inside my shaker as well as a few star shapes.  I  then adhered die cuts and chipboard from the collection I  used. Usually, I  tend to make my titles larger but I wanted the vintage Halloween paper to show through.

To tie the album together, I  attached an elastic piece to go around the metal knob that I  affixed to the front.

Next, I  adhered patterned paper to my pages using Beacon 3-in-1 Liquid Adhesive. Once dry, I  cut away excess paper with scissors then sanded my edges.  I    then added photos and embellishments to my pages!

I  love to layer as well as add embellishments using pop dots!  Giving some of  your accents dimension helps give a little extra "wow" to your project!

I  tied my pages together using bakers twine in fun Halloween colors! You can also use ribbon or book rings…whatever is in your stash!

The pages of this particular album are approximately 4 inches across which is great if you have a vertical photo or a nice 4×4!  If you have a 4×6 horizontal photo, I    recommend creating a tag or pocket to add extra space to fit your picture!

Here, I  scored an extra large manila tag at 4 inches and cut my photo where I  thought would be a good break. I  simply adhered them "side by side" on the inside of my tag then added embellishments!

Showing more of my pages! Halloween is probably my favorite holiday and I  also love scrapping about it too!  I'm a little sad that my kids are getting too old to trick or treat!
