Clear Scraps Project Post

Fall is in the air, and this sweet simple project is perfect for a gift,

a thank you, or for your own home as a

decor piece (with a twist I'll share later in this post).

This project starts with the Clear Scraps Blank Wood Card.

They are sturdy little pieces of crafting heaven!

Ink, paint, stamp, stencil, or add some paper and embellishments too,

the only limit is your own imagination and creativity!

Clear Scraps has so many great stencils, and I finally decided on the

6" Damask Stencil to use to create a pretty border on this card.

Using a bit of ink applied with a sponge tool, I stenciled the border

on just the edge of the card.

Then I added some enamel dots to highlight the stenciling. 

Next a strip of pretty fall cardstock down the center with inked edges,

glued down with Beacon Adhesive.  And then I layered in

some fall stickers and more enamel dots.

This would make a great little card to give a friend,

or you could punch holes in the corners with your crop-a-dile,

and add ribbon or string to hang, or you could do something like you

see in the original picture:

I used an extra 5×7 frame I had laying around,  and added a 5"x7"

piece of brown cardstock in front of the glass.  Then I added velcro

to the back of the wooden card, so I have a piece I can change out with

different cards depending on the seasons!

Now you don't have to have the velcro…..you can just glue the

wood card directly to the paper, and then interchange the paper/wood card

piece for each season.  I'm so excited to get started on one for Christmas!
