Stocking Mini Pallet Ornament

Hello! It's Jennifer on the blog today to share a fun, easy project I  created using one of the new Mini Pallet Shapes! These small sized embellishments are perfect for cards, layouts or the front of a mini album!  I  used the Stocking Mini Pallet Shape to create a holiday ornament for the tree!

I  began by applying a couple coats of white chalk paint to the front of my Mini Pallet.  Chalk paint dries quickly and looks great on the birch wood!

After allowing my paint to dry, I  measured and cut strips of patterned paper to adhere to the "slats" of the Stocking.  I  found that its best to use a liquid adhesive that is solvent based such as Beacon 3-in-1 or Zip Dry.

I  then turned my Stocking over and used an x-acto knife to cut away the excess paper. Using a sanding tool on the edges helps to smooth them further.

I  then added small embellishments such as die cuts, stickers, and buttons to the front.

The birch wood is thin enough to use a Crop-o-dile or hole punch. Here, I  added some twine to hang my Stocking.
