Bloom & grow coaster set

Hey, friends! Leah here today sharing this cute coaster set using the Creating Made Easy January Q 2019 kit.

I absolutely LOVE the Graphic 45 paper pad in this kit, especially since I'm dreaming of Spring already. 🙂

The longest part of this project is waiting on the glue to dry.

To start, peel the protective layer off the backside of your album pages. Apply your favorite strong adhesive, my go-to is Beacons 3-in-1.

Next, choose 4 papers you absolutely love. Then, position your acrylic album page on the part of the paper you wish to show through to the front and apply pressure, burnishing it firmly to the pattern paper.

Trim the excess paper from the albums. Remove the protective film from the top.

If you wish, you could use Stazon and distress around the edges of the coaster.

Using mod podge from my stash, I applied thin even layers to the backside of the coasters.

You can see where the paper is warping a bit, you can smooth these out with your fingers, pushing the air out to the edges.

If you notice the same thing along the edges, apply a small amount of mod podge, push down to adhere it.

I applied three layers of mod podge to help create a waterproof barrier to protect the paper. Now, time to decorate.

You'll notice on the top side of the coasters there are holes pre-drilled to bind for an album.

I just used the 12" bling from the January kit and ran them in a straight line, filling in the holes. It's a perfect fit.
