Hi there everyone! Laura here to share with you today!
Looking for a great way to remember a special event,
vacation, or memory? The Clear Scraps
XL Word Frames are amazing for creating this
type of home decor!
This is the Beach XL Word Frame of course! Perfect for
memories of our beach vacation!
The frame comes in pieces you assemble to make it easier
to paint, stamp, ink, or whatever you'd like to do!
I painted the bottom of the flip flops with gray acrylic paint,
and then painted the tops with bright green paint.
I added a layer of glitter glue to add a little sparkle.
Next up was the actual frame part of the piece.
Both are painted with white acrylic paint, then stamped
using a wood-grain stamp and gray acrylic paint.
To get the even pattern and keep it going in the same
direction, I used some washi tape as a mask:
Then I was able to stamp and make the wood-grain pattern
go in the same direction so it looks more like real wood.
The word Beach at the top of the frame can be painted,
or inked, or you can cover it with paper like I did here.
Just trace it and cut it out. I did ink up the edges
with some black ink because I liked the way
it framed the word since it has such a bright
white background. Then I glued it down.
Cute chipboard added some bright fun to
finish up the frame. You can also see the
wood-grain look frame and how it gives a little
texture too. Also if you peek closely, you can see I
did not have a long 4×6 picture. Easy to fix,
I used some cute patterned paper behind a 4×4 photo in
this frame. You can do something similar if you
don't have photos that will work lengthwise/sideways.
Thanks for stopping by today!
