Hi there everybody! Laura here today, and I've got
a fun home decor project for you using another of
the amazing new products from Clear Scraps!
The large wooden shapes have always been great
for doing fun home decor projects, but these new
shapes are so awesome! This shape is the XL
Wood Dog Bone. So perfect for a cute home
decor project featuring some of my favorite
furry friends! There are even more new shapes
in the store, you can find them all HERE.
Want to see another newbie I used on this one?
Those sweet little pup faces are perfectly framed by
the brand new Mini Frames! These aren't listed in
the store yet, but keep an eye on the section
labeled "What's New". Not only does it have all
the new items that are already in the store, but it
will be the spot you can find all the new items to
be added later! You can find it on the site HERE.
A little about how this project was made, I started
by painting the wood shape with brown acrylic
paint, let dry, then brushed the edges with black
ink to give the wood shape a little more depth.
Then my favorite, paper scraps and stickers!
You can see I just layered up some journal cards,
small pieces of paper, and used some foam tape to
add a few stickers. The area on the wood shape is
perfect to give you room to decorate. You can
also do stamping, or stenciling, or anything you
want really. Sometimes I'm just a fan of the
bright, fun colors, designs of the papers and
stickers, and love to turn them into a piece of
home decor! As always, with Clear Scraps, you
are only limited by your own creativity!
Thanks for stopping by today!
