Clear Scraps Project Post

Hey there all!  Laura here today, and I've got

another project created with one of my very

favorite new products in the Clear Scraps line!

These new Desktop Frames are adorable!  They

come in several choices, so you can create a project

that can just be a nice decor project without a picture,

or you can add your favorite photos for a personal

touch!  This Family Desktop Frame was perfect to

showcase a photo from one of our vacations.

Love how easy this one is to create too, less is

really more on these frames, because the word

at the top acts like an embellishment and title all

in one!  To create this frame, I started with paint.

I painted the word family in gray, and the frame part

in green.  After it was dry I brushed the edges with

black ink to make the frame a true focal point, since

I was going to add a picture that I wanted as the center

of attention!  The blank space under the word family,

I measured and cut a piece of family themed patterned

paper to act as a background for my photo.

You can see it peeking out from behind the photo.

I matted the photo and added the "our family"

title with a fun sticker behind to highlight my

title.  This frame project also shows you that

you do not have to use a full 4×6 photo if you

don't want to.  This smaller photo works great,

and it gives you a little more visual interest to

add the matching themed patterned paper

behind the photo.

The base of the frame is also painted.  I like to

use the contrasting colors (the gray and green)

rather than leaving it all one color.  I'm all

about mixing it up!
