Clear Scraps Project Post

Hello friends! It's Jennifer here today to share a home decor project I created using some fun Clear Scraps wood products! It's officially springtime so I  started with the Flower Medium DIY Pallet Shape as my base. And I'm going to show you how I  decorated my pallet. 

I  selected my background paper and measured each "slat" of the Flower.  I applied Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive to the front the pallet and adhered the patterned paper. 

I  cut away excess paper with scissors followed by using an x-acto knife and healing mat to trim around the edges. I  also used sand paper to smooth the seams between the paper and pallet. 

Using a foam applicator, I  painted the edges of the pallet with white acrylic paint not worrying about having clean lines. 

Next, I  painted the Every Moment Matters XL Script Wood Quote with chalk paint in green.  Again, I did not worry about covering ever surface of the wood.

I  then applied wax to the front of the Wood Quote using a tea light candle (however you can use any candle in your stash). The more wax you apply, the more distressed your effect will be. 

I  then applied white paint in small sections, scrapping the excess off as I  went.   You can also use sand paper to smooth any areas you weren't happy with. I  affixed my Wood Quote using Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive. 

I  used stickers and chipboard embellishments as accents. I  also utilized my hand punches to add additional butterflies. 

To finish, I  used my hole punch at each side to thread ribbon though to hang my project!
