Laura here today, to give you a little craft time
distraction with an idea for a cute little home
decor project that's fun and super easy to do!
Is your home your happy place? I love being at home.
But I also feel like it's always a work in progress. It's messy
sometimes, it's not decorator perfect, that's for sure, but it's
full of our memories, and mementos we've gotten from different
events, pictures, and of course, some of these fun home decor
pieces I've created over the years. This one starts with a great
base piece, the Clear Scraps House Medium DIY Pallet Shape.
Love these medium pallets, and there are a lot of great shapes
to choose from. You can always go with a basic square or circle,
that's a great place to start (check them all out HERE)
Don't be afraid of the shapes though, you just paint it, or you can
trace it and cut it out of a pretty patterned paper like I did here.
Just cut around it, and cut the strips. I like to ink around
the edges sometimes. Not every time, just depends on the
look I'm going for. After that, just glue the pieces to the
wood using your favorite adhesive.

I simply painted it all white, then went back in using
a brush to paint the heart in red. I added a few
stickers and enamel dots to complete this cute little
piece of home decor. You could add a ribbon or
display it on an easel in your home.
