Cupcake Medium DIY Pallet Shape

Hello everyone! It's Jennifer here today to share a fun little home decor project I  created using one of the Medium DIY Pallet Shapes. These are the perfect size for gifts or to display a favorite photo as I  did. I'm going to show you how I  decorated the Cupcake Medium DIY Pallet Shape and Smile Mini Shaker Shape.

I  started by measuring each slat of the pallet so I  would know how big to cut the strips of patterned paper.  I  adhered each with my Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive and then trimmed excess paper with my x-acto knife and healing mat. I  then used a sanding tool to smooth any edges.  I  also covered the chipboard base of the Smile Mini Shaker with patterned paper and repeated the same steps.

I  painted the top chipboard frame and the edges of the middle two frames of the shaker with Distress Paint in speckled egg.  I  set aside to dry to begin to assemble my shaker.

You can see here I  adhered the shaker at the bottom of my photo allowing it to hang off the pallet.  I  added some tiny colored sequin shapes to each letter before adhering the acrylic piece.

I  wanted my shaker to be the focal point of the pallet so I  added a few die cuts and stickers from the collection I   used.  You can also spy a few enamel dots to accent.

I  used the same blue paint to line the edges of the pallet as well to give it a finished look.
