Clear Scraps Wood Rectangles — Embrace the Journey Decor

Hi there everyone!!!  Laura here with you today, to share some home decor inspiration

with this project created using the versatile Clear Scraps Wood Rectangle as a base.

(even more so right now!) and we should embrace it, and try to find a reason to

celebrate or be grateful everyday!

Now I am a huge fan of a "blank canvas" so to speak, like these Wood Rectangles.

These come in a 3 pack in the Clear Scraps store, so they are not only a great item

to create with, but they are a great value as well!  Ink them, paint them, stain them,

cover them with pretty paper, or you could even just leave them plain wood.   For

this project, I used blue, white and gray acrylic paint.  I painted most of the piece

blue, but didn't cover it all.  I came back in to fill those spots with streaks of white

and gray.  I wanted it to feel like a pretty springtime sky.

Next I layered in the bricks!  The 4×6 Brick Wall stencil from Clear Scraps is a fave!

It's perfect for backgrounds, and if you use a texture paste and a little ink on there once

it dries (like I did here), it gives such a great texture.  I also just scraped some paste

randomly around the edges to frame it off.  With the stencil, you could also trace it,

or use paint or sprays or inks as well.  A lot of great possibilities to get creative!

While the base dried, I painted the cute little Fence Chipboard Embellishments.

I used gray acrylic paint, and then brushed on white to give it a little more of a weathered

fence look.  Love all the options of chipboard embellishments from Clear Scraps!

A few layered cardstock embellishments and stickers, and I've got a great piece of

inspirational decor to hang in my home office, craft room, or wherever!!

Thanks for stopping by today!
