Hello Crafty Friends!
I'm Dana and I have a vintage floral garden album project to share with you! Have you checked out all the newest Slimline albums from Clear Scraps? For my project today, I'll be using the Clear Scraps Slimline Chip Tab album. Click Here
To decorate this album, I'm using Simple stories Vintage Garden District collection. I color palette is so pretty and has a vintage look.
First off, I like to cover all my base pages with coordinating papers. Then I go back and decorate the cover and all inside pages. This album size is 5 & 1/2 x 11 inch. So you cut all base pages the same size. I like to use a strong permanent glue, like Beacon 3 and 1. Be sure to punch all your holes before adhering your papers down. I used a variety of stickers to cover all the tabs of my album.
Now we'll start decorating the front cover of our album. I chose one of the chipboard frames and one journaling card and glued it behind the back of my frame. Using foam tape I adhered my frame to the lower bottom of my cover. I fussy cut one of the butterflies and adhered it over the butterfly on my journaling card. This gives it a nice 3 D effect. I glued a chipboard buterfly and some tiny hearts onto my frame, along with acouple sticker sentiments. I like to add a bit of glitter to the butterfly wings!
For the inside back cover, I made a pocket measuring 5×5 inches. Glued some trim on the top edge of my pocket. Added a sticker at the top and tucked a few journaling cards inside my pocket. The opposite page I cut a piece of cream cardstock at 4×4 to mat my photo. Fussy cut a few floral images, inked the edges and added foam dots to the back. I glued them around the bottom left side of my photo. Added a sticker sentiment on the top area of my photo and adhered a heart sticker with foam dots on the right bottom corner of my photo.
For my next two pages: on the left page I waterfalled some of the smaller journaling cards. I scored 1/2 inch at the top of each card and adhered with adhesive tape, towards the top of my page. I added foam dots to the back of my small sticker frame, and adhered toward the bottom. Then added a sentiment sticker inside my frame. The right page, I cut a journaling card to measure 5×4 inches, scored 1/2 inch on the left side. Adhered to the bottom of my page with adhesive tape to make a flip page.
Next two pages: left side I made another 5x 4 &1/2 pocket. Added a punched border trim at the top of my pocket. Glued a flower on the left side of my pocket. Tucked a few journaling cards inside my pocket. and a chipboard sentiment sticker to the top of my page. For the page on the right, I matted another photo at the top. Added a sticker sentiment and metal brad to the bottom of my photo.
For my last two pages, I made a diagonal pocket on the left side. Added a empherma floral piece adhered with foam dots, to my pocket and some glitter on the butterfly wings. Adhered a stamp sticker at the top of my page. Tucked a few journaling cards inside my pocket. The page on the right, I added a sticker frame with pop dots towards the top of my page and a sticker sentiment inside the frame. I took two smaller cards and scored 1/2 inch on the left and adhered as flip pages at the bottom.
To finish my album, I attached the pages together with 3 metal rings, tied some tulle and ribbon onto the rings.
