I'm so happy you're here! I have a home decor frame project to share with you. For my project I chose the This is Us Clear Scraps desktop frame. Clear Scraps has several different desktop frames to chose from. Click Here

First off I took some burnt orange acrylic paint and a brush, and painted the surface of my large base and around the sides.  I also painted the photo frame with the same color paint. Let dry. 

Take the smaller base and cover with any scrapbook paper of your choice.  Since I am making this frame as a gift, I  chose to go with a Southwest theme. I'm using Prima Marketing Golden Desert collection. But feel free to decorate yours, however you like. After adhering the paper, take your exacto knife and trim off any excess paper. Then take your distress tool and smooth along all the edges. Make sure you cut the slits on the base so the top frame pieces fit securely in place. 

I repeated the same steps above as I did for the small base, and covered the This is us words with coordinating papers. Trim and distress your edges. You can also paint, ink or stamp onto your frame/words. The possibilities are endless. 

I took some Beacon 3 in 1 glue and adhered the two base pieces together. Make sure you line up your slits on both bases. Next you can adhere a 4×6 photo to the back of your wood frame and adhere your frame onto the main base. Snap your top frame piece in place. 

Now the fun begins with decorating your frame! I chose a cactus flower, crystals, ephermera words, puffy stickers and I tied a moon charm in between the US words, with some twine.
