Hello and happy Saturday! It's Jennifer here today to share one of the 3D Frameables with you! There are 17 different Word N Shapes and 3 different styles of wood frames to choose from. Today for my project, I used the Welcome-Jar Word N Shape along with the Scallop Frame with Base.
I began by working on my Scallop Frame. I wanted to cover the front with patterned paper. I applied my Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive to the front surface and affixed it to the B side of the patterned I had chose. I then cut away excess paper with scissors and my x-acto knife. I followed up with using my sanding tool to smooth edges between the wood and my paper.
On the smaller oval base, I took brown acrylic paint and water and applied it to the surface of the wood. I wanted a more muted look to match the collection I used.
The bottom, larger oval I simply painted in black acrylic paint.
Again, using my Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive I adhered the two pieces together ensuring my slots lined up.
For the Welcome in my Word N Shape, I used green chalk paint. Once dry, I lightly sanded the surface to give it a distressed look.
On the Jar, I painted the top with black acrylic paint followed by adhering patterned paper to the body. I smoothed the edges with my x-acto knife and sanding tool.
I added bakers twine as well as embellishments from the collection I used to accent the Jar.
Here is the finished frame: I added a family photo and adhered it to the frame base before adding accents.
