HiYa!
Tami here with a project to share with you.
Just when I think I have EVERY craft supply possible, I discover something new. My friend Laura was telling me about a new set of pens she got and showing me all the cool things she was making with them and — I hadn't heard of them!
They work on all types of surfaces, are opaque and dry quickly. I'm always looking for a new way to play my Clear Scraps products, so I thought I'd try my new pens on different types of surfaces.
Today's project is an altered canvas bag – to be used for – what else – holding my new pens!
I like owls and Clear Scraps has the most adorable little Owl Stencil, I used the 6" size for my bag…

I prepped the bag by ironing to be sure it was flat and wrinkle free. Then I put a piece of cardboard inside to be sure the paint did not bleed through to the other side.
Next, I decided on the placement of the design and used blue painters tape to hold the stencil in place. Then it was time to color! I filled in the design with different colors.
I wanted to define the design a bit, so before removing the stencil I used a fine point sharpie to outline each section. For the eyes, I outlined them with the sharpie, then used the paint pen to add the pupil.
Here's how it turned out…
and here is a closeup of the owl design…
