Hi everyone! Laura here with you today sharing a cute home decor project that is a simple way to display a favorite family memory.
The base of this project is the Clear Scraps Mason Jar Medium DIY Pallet Shape. This is a great shape for any project you might choose. There are a lot of shapes to choose from in the Clear Scraps store as well. You can find them HERE. I used some pretty patterned paper to cover it. Next, I used gray paint to create a lid area at the top, and I brushed this with a bit of black paint to create some shading.
I tied a bow around the top to add a little extra something. A couple of journal boxes, one with a nice quote, and one as a background for my picture were matted on black cardstock. This was just the perfect touch to fill the space above the Clear Scraps Family Mini Shaker.
The top frame was painted with white acrylic paint. The back of the shaker was traced out onto the polka dot patterned paper, cut out, then glued down on the back layer. Then each frame layer was glued down until the acrylic layer. Before that I added some of the Clear Scraps Spring Sequins Shaker Filler, then peeled off the protective coating off each side of the acrylic, and lastly the top painted frame piece. Add one of your favorite pictures of a special family moment, and it's a great little home decor piece that you can display anytime.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Stop back soon to see more fun projects ideas and inspiration!
