Woof 3D Frameable Home Decor

Hello Craft Friends!

I'm Dana and I'm here to share another May project! Are you a pet owner? We got a new puppy last summer. We adore her and treat her like one of the family. She truly spoiled rotten! Lol

So today's project features one of the cute Clear Scraps 3D Frameables! Clear Scraps has a variety of different 3D Frameables to chose from. Click here I'm using the Word and Shape "Woof/Bone" Click here and matched it up with the Base and Frame Deco! Click here

The papers I chose to use are from Simple Stories "Pet Shoppe" Dog collection.

To begin, I took my Woof words and some acrylic paint Red, Orange,Green and yellow. I painted each color on the letters and paws. Set aside to dry. I painted the Bone shape using acrylic white paint.

Next I removed both of the bases and chose 2 coordinating papers from the paper pack. (You could paint your wood bases if you choose)I traced around each base, cut out and glued my paper to each of the wood bases. I recommend using Beacon glue since it has a strong bond and works well with wood. Taking an xaco knife, I trimmed away the excess paper from my wood bases including the 3 slots on each frame base. Then taking a Distress tool or sanding tool, I smoothed any rough edges. I applied some Distress Ink Rusty Hinge along the edges. Then glue your bases together making sure your slots line up perfectly. Set this aside to dry.

Now take your top frame piece, and trace, glue, trim and Distress along the edges as we did previously with our wood bases, and inside section of your frame.

Next I chose a photo trimmed to fit and adhered to the backside of my frame. Then glue your top frame to the frame base making sure to line up the edges evenly. The bottom will slide into the slot on your wood base.

Now you can add any embellishments like stickers and ephemera pieces to decorate around your frame. I adhered some ephemera doggie paws to my bone. My Woof words, I glued a small heart on top of the "F"  you can add as many embellishments as you want. I slipped a small ring into the hole of my Ephemera Bone embellishment and glued at the top of my frame!
