Hello Crafters!
Dana here! I have one more project to close out the summer season. I hate to see summer come to an end. I know we all have photos we want to scrapbook but don't always have the time. For Today's project, I'm creating some Clear Scraps Divider Cards! These are perfect to add all your vacation photos, birthday's and everyday life moments. They are a great way to use up leftover scraps from older paper collections. There are dozens of styles to chose from. Click here
For my project, I'll be using the Rounded Chip Click here, Angle Chip Click here and Scallop Chip Click here
The papers I'll be using are from an older Prima Marketing Havana collection! They have a Tropical feel. It's fun looking through my crafty stash and finding paper collections I forgot I had lol!
To begin I chose several coordinating papers and cut them to fit the base of my Divider cards. Some of my cards I left the border strips in place to give a nice look at the bottom. Using my xaco knife, i trimmed away any excess paper and cut out both bottom notches. Then using my Distress tool I smoothed any rough edges away. I like to apply Distress Ink on the edges of my papers. Then glue all my base papers onto each card using Beacon glue. Here's a photo:
Now they are ready to decorate! I like using different embellishments such as, flowers, ephemera and fussy cut images. Gather whatever photos you would like to use.
Card 1 Rounded Chip front: i stapled two tickets together and glued on the bottom left edge. I fussy cut out a camera, and sentiments from the 4×6 Journaling card in this collection. Then adhered to my card using foam dots. I added a Prima crystal also. Here's how my card turned out:
On the backside of Card 1: I fussy cut out a sentiment phase and applied foam dots on the back and adhered in the center of my card. I fussy cut two birds from the Journaling card and glued in place. Here's a photo!
Card 2 Scallop Chip front: I made a pocket from one of my paper Scraps and cut to measure 4 x 17/8 inches and glued to my Divider card base. I fussy cut a sentiment and tucked inside my pocket. I added a photo (see below) and acouple sticker sentiments and a pink bow sticker at the top!
For my photo, I tore a few edges and crumbled up my photo. I applied some Clear Crackle over top of my photo, then set to dry overnight. This will give a nice worn distressed look.
Card 2 back: I glued a butterfly at the top, added a mini paper doll and fearless sticker sentiment.
Card 3 Angle Chip front: using foam dots i adhered a bird ephemera piece over top of the bird image on my card. Then added a few Prima crystals!
Card 3 back: I made a flip page measuring 4×2 inches and scored 1/2 inch on the left before adhering to my card base. I applied acouple enamel dots and a sentiment on the front flip. Underneath I added a photo and a cute ephemera bow at the top! Here's some closeup photo!
Here's another look at my finished cards!
