All aboard! the Halloween Town choo choo train. On its way to Spookyville with a Halloween countdown memory dex system from Clear Scraps.
Today I am using the small, high back memory dex box to create a Halloween train. First, before any assembly I painted mine with gray acrylic paint, let dry completely. Next, I assembled using a strong liquid adhesive (Helmar glue). Once the glue is dry, I used black paint and dry brushed across all the outside surfaces. This gives some color dimension, next I used 1” and ½” paper strips to decorate around the bottom of the box.
I used chipboard frames that coordinate with the paper I am using, and these create the “cab” of my train. I put paper on the back of the frames and left the top open to slide pictures easily inside. Adding in ephemera and chipboard stickers to finish off the decoration of the train. I found train wheels at a craft store and attached with hot glue. This train is complete, but not without some special dividers.
From a previous project, using the Clear Scraps house chipboard dividers that match my train. I added in the “haunted house” dividers and this train is ready to leave the station for Spookyville. Have fun creating a Halloween countdown calendar or scrap your favorite little goblins all dressed up for Halloween fun.
The Clear Scraps memory dex system is so much fun to create versatile gifts and to create a fun scrapbook. A memory dex scrapbook is a fun and easy way to use pictures, paper and ephemera as memory cards, add in the fun dividers to highlight certain memories and coordinate them together. Have fun creating special memories together with family and friends. You can easily have a party where a group gets together for each one to make a special memory dex scrapbook.
Happy Crafting!
