Clear Scraps Project Post

Hi Crafters!

Dana here! November is upon us. It's a month we give thanks and appreciate the comforts of home.

I created a Home Decor project today and I hope you'll like it. I'm using the new Clear Scraps Standing House and Wood embellishment Click here

There's so many ways you can decorate this Wood House and I really love that it comes with a handy stand that makes it easy to display.

To begin my project, I took some Folkart Cotton White acrylic paint and with a paintbrush I applied paint to the roof, knob and both stand pieces. I applied two coats and also painted the sides. Let dry.

The papers I chose to decorate my Wood House are from Paige Evans Bungalow Lane collection. 

I cut my floral blue/white flowers paper to 6 & 3/4 x 4 3/8. I inked along the edges of my paper before adhering to my house. Trim away any excess paper and using a Distress tool smooth any rough edges away. 

Take the Wood Embellishment piece, I rubbed over the top with some Gliding Wax Renaissance Gold. This adds a nice shimmer. Let dry.

I added a chipboard sentiment sticker and gold frame to the center of my house. I adhered a puffy bird sticker at the top of the frame. Using foam dots, I added a ephemera dog on the lower left corner and a few puffy heart/star stickers at the bottom right corner. I also adhered the sentiment chipboard sticker "with love" at the top right. Using my picking shears scissors I cut a floral border piece where the roof and house meet. I applied a heart puffy heart sticker on the top of my wood knob and glued in the center of my Wood embellishment. Here's a photo:

On the Chimney I cut a matching floral paper to 1 x 2 inches, cutting the bottom diagonally and glued in place. I adhered a heart chipboard sticker in the center of my chimney. Here's a closeup look:

Now you can slide your stand piece into the slot at the bottom. And it's ready to display!
