Hi there everyone! Laura here with you today to share a great LO idea that could be used for Spring, Graduation, or just a bright, fun, everyday LO!
To start the base of this LO, I started with a bright yellow/orange paper and then grabbed the Clear Scraps 5×9 Leaves Mixer Stencil. Truly a favorite, it's so versatile!
Here you can see how I staggered the stencil and applied ink in an ombre set of shades using a soft blending brush. This gives a soft pretty background to layer the picture and embellishments onto.
I used cut out tag toppers at the top of each stenciled section. A few sticker sayings and twine bows make a cute addition.
To create the title, I decided to use the Clear Scraps Mini Shaker Smile. After painting the top frame with aqua acrylic paint, I left that to dry while I traced and cut out patterned paper for the back piece. After that was glued down, I layered on the other frame pieces, then added a few sequins, the acrylic layer, and then finally the painted top piece.
I added the finished Mini Shaker at the bottom of the pic, and scattered a few more stickers and ephemera flowers to complete the LO. I love the look of the Mini Shakers on a LO! There are other words, and a lot of fun shapes to choose from in the Clear Scrap store. You can find one for just about any project–travel, baby, graduation, holidays too! They are a fun addition that you can coordinate to the colors your LO–both the picture(s) and the papers you are using! You can customize them using paint, as I did here, or use inks, sprays, stamps, whatever you'd like to do! So fun to come up with new ideas!
Thanks for stopping by today!
