I'm thrilled to share with you the baby girl album I crafted for a dear co-worker. It's filled with sweet images and adorned with beautiful colors that perfectly capture the joy of welcoming a little one into the world. For this project, I used the enchanting 'Little One' paper collection by Graphic 45, along with charming Mintay die-cut ephemera pieces.
To create this album, I combined a 6.5×8 chip banner album with a chipboard tag album, resulting in a delightful array of pockets, photo spaces, and journaling opportunities. Keep reading to discover how I merged these two albums to craft a heartfelt keepsake for my co-worker.
To ensure a perfect alignment, I began by carefully positioning the tags alongside the album and marking the desired placement for the holes along the sides. With precision in mind, I then utilized a cropadile to punch the corresponding holes. It's worth noting that during the album creation process, I covered up the holes on the top of the tags, ensuring a clean and polished look throughout the album
To add a unique touch to the album, I rotated the chipboard album and tags throughout its pages. For each page and tag, I meticulously traced the shapes, carefully cutting them out with scissors before refining the edges with an exacto knife for a precise finish. I find the exacto knife particularly effective for achieving clean edges close to the chipboard.
Once the pieces were securely glued and dried, I applied brown Stazon ink to every surface, including the pages, tags, photo mats, and embellishments. This step added a rustic charm and enhanced the cohesive look of the album.
To further embellish and personalize each page, I adorned them with delicate flowers, whimsical ribbons, and a sprinkle of charms. These small details add depth and character, making each page a visual delight to explore.
On the back of the front cover, I've added a delightful waterfall feature. Waterfalls are a favorite inclusion of mine in albums because they offer fantastic opportunities to showcase multiple pictures, particularly in smaller albums like this one.
Creating waterfalls is not only easy but also immensely enjoyable. They lend themselves well to embellishment, allowing you to add a touch of creativity and personality to your album design.
Throughout the album, you'll find delightful tags perfect for tucking in small journaling cards or noting important milestones and highlights. These tags offer a wonderful opportunity for creative embellishments, adding charms and a little bit of your own personality to the album.
Below, you'll discover the remaining pages of the book, each thoughtfully designed to capture precious memories. I've incorporated a belly band on one page, complemented by 5×6 cards ideal for showcasing photos. Additionally, you'll find charming foldouts thoughtfully placed throughout the pages, providing space for journaling or displaying small pictures
To complete the album and give it that final touch, I used 2-inch book rings adorned with an array of charming ribbons.Creating baby albums is such a wonderful way to cherish memories and celebrate milestones. I hope you had a fantastic time looking at this project!
