Today I have a fun Mixed Media Project to share with you.

A Beautiful Altered Paint Brush

I am working with some fun mediums and beautiful flowers and a Wonderful  Chipboard Set.

The Clear_Scraps_Mixed_Crosses_Chipboard_Set

First ;Before Cutting apart,

I painted the crosses gold.

I also painted my paintbrush and sealed it with Clear Gesso.

I kept a nuetral palette so it would work year around for a decor piece.

I used Flowers from my stash and just had fun playing with this project.

Once I got started it didn’t take too long to put together.

I used inexpensive paints you can find at many local stores or online.

I had some gorgeous flowers in my stash that I thought went very well and gave me the shabby Country Wedding vibe I was going for.

I still have the other beautiful crosses to make a card to go with this gorgeous Altered paintbrush.

My Second Project is a Holiday Picture Frame Card

This project I am working with 

Nordic_Snowflake_Chipboard_Embelishments

I treated these fabulous Snow flakes like my previous Crosses and painted them but after cutting them apart.

I found out it’s easier to paint them before cutting them apart.

The Snow flakes I heat embossed for a blingy effect like tinsel.

I Used Gold Heat embossing powder for the inner frame.

I found the Deer in my stash and the Merry  Christmas Sentiment ,from a crafty friend, and just had fun adding an acetate window , to pop a picture into and  to gift to a family friend or loved one.

All of my projects I worked with the same paints and mediums.

It really is fun to just let go and grab this and that and see what works for you.

Art is personal and if you love it that’s all that matters.

I painted the key in the same way as the previous chipboard pieces just a beautiful egg shell blue this time.

I found a Dictionary ephemera piece and thought it was perfect.

Again, flowers and embellishments from my stash and just love how it came out.
