Hello, fellow crafters! It’s Jennifer here, and I’m excited to unveil my latest creation: a stunning Christmas shadow box that’s bound to captivate! I used the delightful 6×6 shadow box, paired with a beautiful wood base and finial, featuring the enchanting Gear Up for Christmas collection by Stamperia. The rich gold shimmer on the paper, combined with a playful steampunk vibe, makes this piece shine with festive charm. So, gather your supplies, and let’s jump into this quick and easy project that will elevate your holiday decor!
First, I painted both sides of the shadow box pieces with a radiant gold paint to beautifully complement the gold accents in the paper and die cuts from the collection. Next, I carefully selected each background piece from the paper collection, arranging them thoughtfully on the back panel of the shadow box.
After adhering the papers to the base piece, I used B-7000 glue to firmly secure the sides and the inner divider pieces. With everything in place, I chose an array of delightful Christmas decor, including mini ornaments and pinecones embellished with cheerful red berries. To complete the scene, I gathered various die cuts and laser-cut pieces from the collection, arranging them thoughtfully to craft a whimsical Christmas scene that perfectly embodies the holiday spirit!
While those pieces dried, I painted the base and finial with the same golden hue, ensuring a cohesive look. To add a touch of warmth and match the wood of the box, I then applied some brown ink, giving the pieces a beautifully rich finish that complements the overall design!
Next, I gathered some shimmering gold and red sheer ribbon and tied it around the finial for a festive touch. To elevate the design, I added a beautiful poinsettia flower along with two clusters of pinecones and berries. Finally, I secured the finial and the bottom to the box, completing the look with a perfect blend of elegance and holiday cheer!
