Christmas Star Shaker Tag

Hello and happy holidays! Today, I’m excited to share a gorgeous Christmas Star Shaker Tag on the blog. Using the *Merry & Bright* paper collection by Graphic 45, I created this beautiful tag that’s perfect as a festive addition to an album, a charming ornament, or even a gift tag. The possibilities are endless!

First, I painted the star chipboard layering pieces with gold metallic paint. While they dried, I selected the perfect paper to cover both the front and back of the tag. I traced, cut, glued, and then carefully used an X-Acto knife to trim the edges for a clean finish.

Next, I carefully peeled the protective film off both sides of one of the acrylic star pieces and adhered it to the back of the tag. On top of that, I added one of the painted star chipboard pieces. Flipping the tag over, I stacked two more star chipboard pieces to build up the shaker portion, creating depth and dimension.

Then, the fun part—filling the shaker! I added a mix of gold stars, green trees, and an assortment of Christmas-themed sequins, glitter, and sparkles to bring the tag to life. Once the shaker elements were in place, I peeled the film off the second acrylic star and glued it down to seal everything in. To finish, I added the final star chipboard piece to the top of the acrylic and embellished it with bright red cabochons for a pop of color and festive flair.

To complete the look, I added some delightful chipboard and die-cut elements from the Merry & Bright paper collection, including a stunning red poinsettia and a few festive ribbons for that perfect finishing touch. I’m absolutely thrilled with how it turned out! I hope this project inspires you to create your own festive star tag. Wishing you a joyful holiday season, and thank you so much for stopping by!
