Valentine Mini Album

Hi friends! Melissa Minor here on the blog today sharing an adorable Valentine Mini Album I made using the Mini Mixable Pint Size 3.5×5 Album.  This album is great because it has both acrylic and chipboard pieces.

I started by removing the protective film from both sides of the acrylic pages. I next pulled out some Shimmerz Paints. I tried many different watercolor paints through trial and error but they slid right off the acrylic. I landed on the Color Splash from Shimmerz Paints. This is a glossy acrylic paint spray. I used the colors of "Pinking of You" and "Gold Digger". I sprayed on some of the paint and let the acrylic pages dry overnight. I was really surprised that the paint made the acrylic pages opaque which allowed me to adhere embellishments without being able to see through to the other side.

Next I started working on the chipboard album pages. I coated the chipboard pages with white gesso. Then I adhered patterned paper with glossy modge podge. Prior to adhering the paper to the page I used a crop-o-dile and punched out the circles so it would be easier to attach the pages to the rings. I pulled out a few dies and embellished the pages.

After the album pages were all attached to the rings, I cut strips of ribbon in coordinating colors and added to the rings. There are photo place holders for a 3×3 and a  3×4 photo. You could definitely make this album larger by adding multiple album sets. I think this would make an adorable brag book for a new baby, a wedding, or even a vacation. I hope you've enjoyed today's project and will give it a try.
