Hi there everybody! Who's ready for a little creative inspiration using the Clear Scraps Rounded Tag Shiplap Shape Medium? Laura here with you today to do just that, with an idea for a fantastic Valentine's Day home decor project!
The Shiplap Shapes are all so much fun to create with, but I think the tag shape can be absolutely ANYTHING you want it to be! With the addition of some of the Clear Scraps goodies like mini shakers and stencils, you can make them amazing and make one for just about any holiday or season!
This project started with painting the Rounded Tag Shiplap Shape with aqua acrylic paint, then it was lightly brushed with white acrylic paint. Once that dried, it was time to grab the Clear Scraps 5×9 Swirl Hearts Mixer Stencil.
It was stenciled onto the lower 3rd of the tag using a soft brush and distress ink in a soft red color that really pops on the aqua background. It's a great stencil for projects like this, cards, scrapbook pages, etc. And it can be used for Valentine's, love, weddings, an anniversary and so on. Really love getting a stencil you can use for so many things!
The other star of the show here is the Clear Scraps Mini Shaker Mason Jar.
It adds a sweet touch, the frame painted white and gray, the solid back of the jar traced on a pretty patterned paper and then cut out and glued down. All layers are then glued together, sequin mix added and the top frame glued down. A few embellishments (ephemera, enamel dots) around the jar and an organza ribbon at the top of the tag are the finishing touches. Projects like these are a great way to use up scraps from a scrapbook page or cardmaking project too!
Thanks for stopping by today!
