Hello, crafty souls, and a very Happy Valentine’s Month to you all! 💖 Jennifer here, bringing you a fun and fiery red, white, and black mini album. Using the gorgeous "Desire" paper collection by Stamperia and an 8×8 mini album base, I’ve crafted a little masterpiece that’s all about love and passion. Let’s dive in and explore the magic of these bold colors and beautiful papers!
First, I prepped the front cover with a smooth base of white gesso, layering on three coats for that perfect foundation. Next, I grabbed some crackle paste and a heart stencil to add texture and dimension, creating a romantic heart pattern across the surface. Once that paste dried, I spritzed everything with Tim Holtz Metallic Distress Spray, giving it a shimmering, distressed look that catches the light just right. After all the layers had fully dried, I brought the design to life with embellishments, flowers, and a touch of ribbon for some extra flair. For the finishing touch, I painted the resin couple with a coat of clear gesso, followed by black and red paint to make them pop against the background.
For the resin figures and carefully painted them with a mix of gloss gel and acrylic paint, giving the surface a stunning, glossy sheen once dry. To deepen the flesh tones, I added a touch of rich brown ink from Stazon, lightly dabbing it over the peachy areas to create a more natural, subdued hue.
On the next two pages, I designed a space to showcase a standout photo and incorporated a waterfall effect, giving room for multiple photos or journaling within the album. I started by cutting five pieces of black cardstock, each measuring 5" high by 4.75" wide, then scored them at the halfway point along the width. After decorating both the front and back of each piece, I layered them carefully to create the flowing waterfall effect, allowing for a dynamic and interactive layout.
For the next page, I applied the brickwall stencil with crackle paste, giving the surface a beautifully textured, weathered effect. Then, I added a photo mat to frame and highlight that one special photo, ensuring it stands out against the backdrop of rustic charm.

The following pages are brimming with opportunities to showcase photos, featuring plenty of pockets for tags and photo mats—perfect for adding extra memories and personalized details to the layout.
To tie the album together, I used sturdy book rings and a mix of red and black ribbons, adding a stunning finishing touch while cleverly hiding the rings. I hope this sparks your creativity—have a wonderfully crafty day! ~ Jennifer
