Hi there everyone! Laura is here with you today to share an idea for a springtime LO using one of the Clear Scraps Shaker Tags!
One of the things I love about Clear Scraps is how they can add a "WOW" factor to any project! Whether home decor, a card or a scrapbook layout, they have so many different embellishments! This LO is very easy to put together with a few layers of papers and ephemera, but adding the Clear Scraps Shaker Tag Bucket adds that extra something–it's a fun embellishment that adds interest and movement to an otherwise simple scrapbook page. This is raw chipboard that you can use to create an embellishment to match your project perfectly.
I love the versatility of this tag. It's being used as a garden bucket in this LO, but it's easily a beach pail filled with sand or shells, an Easter basket, or even a purse! Your imagination is the only limit here! Paint, stencil, stamp, trace out and cover with paper, even use it in a mini album since you have the option to leave the pail clear (see through!).
To create this tag, it was painted a soft green and the basket brown. After I glued together the basket layers and added the sequins, I added a piece of paper to the back of the tag to cover the clear acrylic because I wanted a pattern to show thru rather than have it be clear. Also, a little "tip": because of the see-through option, this comes with one more frame layer piece (the basket outline). It's mean to go on the BACK of the tag when you put it together as a loose tag or album insert (when you want the back of the tag finished too). Since it would be glued on the LO I did not need the extra bulk of that layer in the back. This can be used as an embellishment for a card or page project later!
To finish the tag, I used a rub on to create the "pattern" on the green background, then added stickers and ephemera.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
