Clear Scraps Project Post

Howdy, Y'all!!

I know that Fall hasn’t officially started yet, but can you believe that it is already September!!?
It is the season for warm sweaters and cozy blankets, pumpkin spice and hot chocolate, and of course, boots and bonfires!

Which leads me to what I am sharing with you y’all today! It is no secret that I Love ALL of the Shakers in the Clear Scraps Store. That is why I decided to use that super cute Cowboy Boot Shaker and create something beautiful!

I started with the cowboy boot and the cattails chipboard.  Can you guess where this is going?
Yep! The Boot is going to hold the cattails like a flowerpot! Yeah, Yeah, I know…VERY Texan of me! LOL!!! But I can not deny my Roots!

Once I got the shaker all put together, I added the cattails. I thought that I would want both sets of the cattails, but ended up only using one.  I did not want to overload the boot and make it look top heavy.  I just used regular acrylic paints to paint these, and then added the floral ephemera and twine. 

It was already beautiful, but I felt like it needed something more.  I pulled out one of the new Acrylic Tags with Rounded corners and “tested the waters” so to speak. I LOVED the way it looked, so I "painted" the acrylic tag with alcohol inks in various shades of blue, and then added one of my favorite sayings/song titles. THAT was it. THAT was what this project needed! My heart was happy! Blame It All On My Roots!  I love Cowboy Boots! HA HA HA!! 

What a transformation these items have taken!  That is what I love about Clear Scraps Products…I can make them look ANY way that I want and I always love the results.
