Clear Scraps Project Post

Hello everyone! Laura here with you today to share some Valentine’s Day inspiration!

This project started with the Clear Scraps Chipboard Scallop Tags and the Chipboard Scallop #10 Tags (larger). The different sizes, the different shapes of these chipboard tags are great to mix and match! And better yet–there are acrylic options too! You can find all of the different options in the Clear Scraps store, and also tag boxes if you’d like to make them into cute decor or a fun, different take on a mini album! To create this smaller tag, it was painted with white acrylic paint, then I used the Clear Scraps 5×9 Plaids Mixer Stencil.

Distress ink was applied with a soft blending brush to create the plaid design. Then the “XO”s were created using the Clear Scraps XOXO Chipboard Embellishments. They are painted with red and pink acrylic paint, then glued onto the tag once dry. A few stickers finished this tag off perfectly! You could leave the back plain, but I love to decorate BOTH sides!

For this side, the tag was traced onto a piece of patterned paper, and then cut out. Edges were brushed with ink, then additional papers and embellishments were added, and also a pretty seam binding ribbon and twine to complete this tag.

For this larger tag, it was also traced out on patterned paper, then cut out. Some other papers layered up, and a journal box added with foam tape. Other stickers, enamel dots and ribbons complete the look.

The back of this larger tag was also done with layered up pretty papers, journal box and stickers.

These tags are so fun to create, and could be used as a wonderful addition to a gift, or to be added to a tag box. You could also leave spots on these for photos, or personalize with special photos. They also would make a nice album if you added a ring to hold them together–so many great ideas with these!
