Clear Scraps–Chipboard Word Script Titles–Lucky Easel Card

Hello there everyone! Laura here with you today to share an idea for a fun St. Patrick’s Day easel card!

Easel cards are so very fun to make and simple too! You can choose any size, but I always find a square the easiest, especially if you are a beginner! This card is 4&1/2″ card, so it’s just one strip of white cardstock that is 4&1/2″ wide, and then 9″ long. Along the 9″ length, you just score the card in half (4&1/2″) and then one of the 4&1/2″ sections is scored in half again which creates 2 sections that are 2&1/4″. When you fold it creates a flat back of 4&1/2″ and a little “tent” that will stick up to create the easel. For the front of the card you’ll cut a base piece that is 4&1/2″.

This front is the green cardstock here. I added a smaller layer of stenciled white cardstock using the Clear Scraps 6″ Bulb Strings background stencil and distress ink applied with a brush.

The green cardstock and shamrock paper was layered in the center to create a base for the Lucky Chipboard Word Title piece that was painted with black acrylic paint. A few stickers and enamel dots finish up the card front. Similar items were used at the bottom of the inside base of the card to create the placeholder for the easel.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have some fun with easel cards, they are super simple and add a little extra “something” to the cards you create!
