Shenanigans Acrylic Slimline Album

Hello and Happy St. Patrick’s Day to those who celebrate it!
Misty @Mommyofkidz here with you today sharing a fun little project that I created in honor of the day. Actually, my kids are getting ready to take a trip to Ireland, so the timing for this project was perfect!
Remember the fun shaker tag that I shared earlier this month? I loved it so much that I just continued with the same colors and created a whole album!

I knew that I wanted to use my tag as the starting point for the album. So, I pulled out all the same materials and set to work! The items that I used from the Clear Scraps Shop are below.

  1. Small Milk Can Shiplap Shape
  2. Spring Chipboard Punchouts
  3. Bee Happy Chipboard Punchouts
  4. Acrylic Deco Slimline Album

The cover of the album was SO MUCH FUN to create! I wanted a rustic milk can with a bouquet of shamrocks. When I got that completed, it still did not look “full”. So, I started painting and adding in some of the chipboard punch outs. What a difference that made! Here is an upright view of the front and back covers with the spine. Peep my little tag charm!

That little tag charm has another cutie on the opposite side! I would definitely kiss this cute little frog! I already have my Prince, but this cutie is irresistible!

Each page holds a different fun surprise. I have included hidden journaling cards, mini flip up photo books, and more! I even created a page special for the Irish Coffee tag to live! There’s no way to visit Ireland and not try some authentic Irish Coffee, right!??
Here is the tag in case you forgot….

Would you like to see some of the pages of my Shenanigans album??
OF COURSE YOU WOULD!!
So, below is the first page after opening the cover. on the left side, I have a cardstock milk jug that I traced out. It covers the back of the Small Milk Can Shiplap Shape and provides a perfect spot for the first photo! Of course, it can be a photo, a journaling spot, or whatever! The right side is a little bare, but I wanted only the shamrock paper to show through the front cover. It is WAY TOO CUTE to cover up! Again, I made my flip book photo holder small enough that it could not be seen through the front cover.

The next page is even more interactive with tags, secret pockets, a flip book notpad, and more. I will show off of this in my short reel…so watch for it on my IG! @Mommyofkidz

The next set of pages offers more simplicity. They are simply a resting place for some cute photos! I may or may not have left the outside edges unglued for things to be stored into the hidden pockets!

And the Irish Coffee Tag! There is a strip at the bottom of the left page that holds it in place in the album. Of course, it does not have to stay in the album. Then that strip can be used to tuck memorabilia into. But, I like the tag right where it is for now!

Of course there are more pages and more fun surprises, but you get the picture! I love creating these slimline albums because there really is no wrong way to do it! I have also interchanged several of the pages and mixed the chipboard with acrylic. It is all in what you need and what serves your creative purpose.
I hope that I have inspired you today to get CREATIVE and maybe even design your own mini album! If you have never done it…you should definitely give it a go!! Clear Scraps has ALL the things you need and shipping is super quick!
One last look at my album…and I hope to see you all create one soon, as well!
