Chickadee Easter Decor

Hey Y’all!! Misty @Mommyofkidz here on this glorious Saturday!
I am so EGG-cited to share my latest project with you! With Easter just around the corner, I wanted to do something for spring or Easter. SO, I decided to use these Mini Egg Wood Pallet pieces and see what I come up with.

Items that I used from the Clear Scraps Web Shop are:
Mini Egg Wood Pallet
SPRING Chipboard Punch Outs
Mason Jar Extra Wood Circles
From my stash, I used wooden dowel rods, paint, flowers, silver beads, wire, ribbon, and foam

To start my project, I painted all the wooden pieces. Normally I like the softer, more subtle colors. Not this time, though. I wanted bright and cheerful colors, like I used to use when my kids and I dyed Easter eggs. The wooden dowel rods were 12 inches long, which I cut both in half to create the “legs”.
These were hot glued to the back of the eggs and then to the Mason Jar Extra Wood Circles.

After preparing all of the wooden pieces, I set them aside and worked on the embellishments. The umbrella and the water jug from the SPRING Chipboard Punch Outs were exactly what I needed! I painted those and added some tiny flowers to them and WOW!

Once I had all of those finished, I was ready to create the faces. Now, I get intimidated when it comes to eyes or any facial feature. EVEN when it is just an egg!! LOL I decided to go for the easy way out…and I made some eye glasses for the Egg-Heads and then added the eyes! Finally, i just needed to add a triangle for the beak and couple of bows. Aren’t they just the cutest!!??

I truly love how these turned out! This was a super easy and inexpensive project to make. I would love to see your creations if you try it!!
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful Day!
