This is a technique that I've used on my project below which I've created for Clear Scraps' booth on the Summer CHA this year.
I've used Clear Scraps acrylic book stand to create this table display piece. To create the metal look on the acrylic deco frame piece, just follow the steps below.
1) Run the acrylic frame through an embossing machine. I've used a Cuttlebug with an embossing folder on my acrylic deco frame. (The choice of embossing folder will determine what effect you want to reflect on your frame. Elegant? Vintage? Rustic? Distressed?)
2) Use an alcohol ink applicator and some silver alcohol ink to ink the acrylic piece. (You could use any metallic alcohol ink for this step)
Isn't this simple? You can do this in seconds. It will be such a great embellishment to any project. Try it!
