a birthday layout

Welcome back. Ok so let's get this "party" going shall we…

Today's share is a layout I made about my birthday last year.

I did some recycling in this project by using the negative space of the Ms. Molly Clear n Chip album. I painted it then used it to divide my pattern papers on the left side of the layout.

I also used the chipboard shapes in the same Clear N Chip pack. I decided to keep them in the raw shape but thought they needed a little shine so I grabbed the Viva Decor's Pearl pen's and used it as a paint, smearing it on top of the chipboard shape. I let it dried then added some more on the edges for added texture and design. I finished it off with some Cosmo Cricket buttons.

I did the same technique on this scallop frame. I love how the pearl pen gave the chipboard shape enough shimmer without changing the brown color of it.

Did you enjoy this two day party celebration? If so I have one more project to share but it'll be found in my blog. Visit today to see what other "birthday" project I made using Clear Scraps products.

Thanks for letting me share my birthday month in a special way with all of you.

Signing off,

Grace
