Clear Scraps Project Post

 
Combining the brand new Cast Acrylic Home Decor pieces and the Large Expressions Words is one of my favourite new things to do.  I've made 2 pieces in the last few weeks that I'm really happy with. 

One is for Christmas – over, I know…but I'll be pulling this out year after year I think to hang on my black refrigerator.  The word BELIEVE I coloured gold with the gold metallic StazOn and then added red jewels from Kaisercraft.  I also used the gold ink to stamp a swirl design on the new cast acrylic frame.  A few flowers, some Basic Grey stickers and a border of red rickrack finish off the whole thing and I used a red ribbon I found at my thrift store to hang it.

The second one I made, I changed it up a little and instead of layering the word on the frame, I punched holes in the word and hung it with chains underneath. 

I embellished both types of acrylic with a ton of Viva Decor's glitter gel and paints, Heidi Swapp flowers, random buttons and beads (held on with a big goopy mess of Glossy Accents) and some KI Soup letters.  I'm excited to hang this in my daughter's room which, by the way, I just painted in Snow Cone Green and bright teal.
