Spring is here card + how to tutorial

Today I want to share a card that I made using one of the buckle arcylic frames that Clear Scraps have. I also wanted to share how I add the dot embossed design on the acrylic frame that I've been really liking lately.

I decided to go with the Spring theme since we are days away from it.

So onto the process….

First, gather your supplies. NOTE: I create as I go so I've actually added more products on my card that is not in this photo.

So to start with, make your card base. I just make mine from good quality cardstock, folded in half to make an A2 card size.

I used the pattern papers from Pink Paislee to cover the card. The plaid paper is 1/8" smaller than the card base to create the border from the green dot paper.

I ran my acrylic frame through my Cuttlebug die cut machine using the swiss dot embossing folder.

Since the acrylic is clear, I decided to ink the embossed parts plus the edges of the frame with ink to make the design pop out more.

I also added some glitter glue on the edges for some extra shine. Make sure you let this dry compeletely before handling.

I used the inside acrylic piece from the buckle frame pack as a template for the inside cardstock that I will be using for the card sentiment and stamped image.

I cut out the edges with scallop scissor.

Next is to stamp the bunny image onto the top of the yellow cardstock piece.

I added more color to the bunny with Tombow colored markers.

Next, I added a strip of ribbon (from Cosmo Cricket) to the bottom of the card. I also made a bow from the same ribbon that I'll be adding on top of the acrylic frame later on.

Then I added the yellow cardstock block.

Then I spelled out the card sentiment with alphabet stickers from Cosmo Cricket.

Next, I adhered my acrylic frame onto the card, centering the yellow cardstock. I used some Tombow liquid adhesive for it. Then placed a heavy item (in this case an xtra large punch) to make sure that the acrylic adheres to the card.

After that I added the bow on the rigth side of the frame. Then added an orange button (from Cosmo Cricket) with some baker's twine threaded through it.
