These large Expressions words from Clear Scraps are very large – more than 12" long in most cases – so they don't always fit simply placed straight across a 12×12 layout. There are creative ways to make them fit if a layout is what you want to do – break the word in pieces, cut the letters up, or make a two-page layout. But one thing that you can do with a large word like this is a wall hanging like this one.
I used 5 of the pages from the Large Pennant Banner to make a banner large enough to hold my large word WELCOME and also a couple of little butterflies on the ends.
The pennant pieces I covered with patterned paper and then stitched them down with my sewing machine. I added flowers to some of them in layers. For the acrylic word and the butterflies (taken from the Clear Mini Butterfly Ornament album), I used alcohol ink (Eggplant) and Goosebumps, which, interestingly, turned my purple alcohol ink into a mixture of purple and pink. The goosbumps took awhile to dry on the slick acrylic surface but I think the effect in the end is really cool!

Happy Creating!
