Today we will be working with the XL Rectangle Deco Top Frame Set
I created a wedding gift for my cousin Amy to give to her on her upcoming Anniversary this year.
To start this project, I took the chipboard backing (in the picture above it is on the right side) and painted it all white with gesso. I set that aside to dry.
For the Acrylic top, I mixed red acrylic paint with Liquitex coarse texture gel. The texture gel creates a sand like texture and makes the paint more thick… perfect for adding texture on top of the acrylic when used with the brand new stencils Clear Scraps offers!
Once the texture gel/paint mixture was dry, I turned over the Acrylic top and alcohol inked the backside in a lovely red shade.
Add some lace and Silver Christmas pearl garland around the photo edges, add the date of their anniversary, a way to hang the plaque, and my project was complete.
